It's Easy - With My Help

We can begin from either your notes or a taped interview -- or both. If necessary, to ease the pain, I can provide a list of questions to inspire memories and help focus the narrative. We can correspond and communicate by either the phone, the internet, or the mail. If desired, I can travel to conduct a personal interview.

I will then transcribe and edit the material collected, being careful to retain both the spirit and the voice of your narrative, always keeping in mind that it is as important how one says something as what one says.

I'll then provide you a first draft, allowing you to make any desired changes -- giving you complete control over the content of your book. Depending on how the book is ultimately produced, you can include photographs and other memorabilia, such as letters, a family tree, certificates, newspaper clippings, or even a family recipe.

If you wish, I can design the cover of your book, do the complete text layout, including typesetting and formatting, and provide you with publishing services. You'll be surprised at how inexpensively you can publish your personal history in a book worthy of Barnes & Noble's point-of-purchase display (even if it never winds up there)!

Most importantly, your heirloom book can be printed using one of a number of publishing service providers (which we will discuss, and I can recommend) of your choice.

A Complete Personal History Package Includes
